National Biogas Development Scheme<\/b><\/p>\n

Information about the scheme:<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the National Biogas Development Scheme, Central Government grants are given for setting up biogas plants. For general group, the amount is Rs. 14,350\/- per plant, for Scheduled Castes and Tribes, the amount is Rs. 22,000\/- per plant, for toilet connection, the amount is Rs. 1,600\/- per plant.<\/span> \u00a0G.P. Under Cess Fund per machine Rs. 12,000\/-<\/span> \u00a0Supplementary grant is payable.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beneficiaries: Farmers from all categories can avail the benefits but the said beneficiaries should have 2 to 3 animals. Also, they should have 7\/12, 8A.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Biogas is a great alternative to traditional fuels.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Along with biogas production, good quality organic fertilizer, good compost fertilizer helps prevent the spread of diseases and weed seeds.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Helps prevent air pollution.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • This is a good way to dispose of human excreta in rural areas, which helps to avoid problems related to proper sanitation.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Women are freed from the problem of gas leakage. It is a great alternative to the shortage of gas cylinders and also saves money.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • For a family of 5 to 6 people, cooking, breakfast, and heating water can be done at both times.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • This saves about two gas cylinders per month, saves wood and protects nature.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The best organic fertilizer is available in slurry form.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Application should be made offline<\/b> in the prescribed format at Taluka<\/b> level.
