The said scholarship is given under the Act dated 20th October, 1998.
Area :- Sanskrit language merit scholarships are provided by the Central Government to attract students in secondary and higher secondary schools to study Sanskrit.
Beneficiary:- In this examination, the student is awarded this scholarship in Class 9 and Class 10 on the merit obtained in Sanskrit subject in Class 8 and Class 11 and Class 12 on the merit of Class 10.
Advantages: In E. 9th and E. 10th, the scheme can be availed for a total of ten months at Rs. 100 per month. Similarly, in E. 11th and E. 12th, the scheme can be availed for a total of twelve months at Rs. 125 per month.
