Giving Incentives to Inter-caste Marriages:- The main objective of this scheme is to eliminate caste discrimination in the society and instill a sense of unity. For this, a total of 50,000/- incentive grant is provided to couples who get married inter-caste jointly by the Central Government and the State Government, i.e. 25,000/- from the State Government and 25,000/- from the Central Government.
How to apply :-
- Prescribed sample application form
- Marriage registration certificate
- School leaving certificate of the groom (of the bride and groom)
- Caste certificate of the groom
- Caste certificate of the groom
- Recommendation letters from two respected persons (groom and bride)
- Maharashtra Resident Certificate (of bride and groom)
- Affidavit stating that the said scheme has not been availed of before Rs. 100 on stamp paper.
Application should be made offline in the prescribed format at the taluka level. For more information, contact the Social Welfare Officer at the district level and the Group Development Officer/Extension Officer (Social Welfare) at the taluka level.
